What?Highlights of this annual event include a free venison dinner with dessert, vendor displays, door prizes, and special guest speakers. The event is family friendly and will provide lasting memories for years to come.

When?This year's event is Saturday, March 5. The doors open for registration at 5pm and dinner begins promptly at 6pm. Be sure to arrive early to secure a good seat, grab a cup of coffee, and "howdy" with old friends!

Where?Sportsmen's Dinner 2023 is hosted by the Heritage Baptist Church, located at 2367 State Route 21 (Palmyra), North of the village of Palmyra just past Johnson's RV on the NW side of Jeffery Road.

Featured Speaker: Chad Schearer

Chad is a World Champion Elk Caller and 2 time Eastern US Elk Calling Champion. Chad is also a Licensed Montana Professional Outfitter and Guide. Besides his passion for hunting he is a freelance writer, his articles and photographs have been featured in several magazines including Outdoor Life, American Hunter, American Rifleman, Field and Stream and more. Chad is Director of Advertising / Media Relations for CVA Muzzleloaders, Bergara USA, PowerBelt Bullets, DuraSight Rings and Bases, Quake Industries and Konus Optics. Sponsored by many of the hunting industries leading manufacturers Chad has conducted over 1000 hunting and fishing seminars across the United States and has hunted and fished extensively around the world. He is also the past Editor of Blackpowder Guns and Hunting Magazine. Most importantly he is the husband to Marsha and dad to Walker & Wyatt.

What to Expect...

HospitalityFrom the moment you pull into the parking lot, you will be greeted by attendants to direct you. At the registration table and throughout the building, there are helpful volunteers (Look for the orange "bulls-eye" on our back) everywhere who would love to help you with any questions you may have.

A Delicious DinnerWe will be serving a savory Venison Dinner with green beans, fresh rolls, corn, and a baked potato with butter and sour cream. There will be plenty of coffee, water, and lemonade to go around. Dinner is served swiftly by our volunteers. Everyone will have their food within 15 minutes!

Dessert A highlight of the evening is the assortment of pies provided by the dedicated ladies of HBC. Overall, at least 100 pies will be made for the event for dessert as well as door prizes at the conclusion of the night!

Special GuestsThe Department of Environmental Conservation as well as New York State and Federal representatives will be in attendance to briefly greet the crowd.

Door PrizesAll who fill out a registration card will be made eligible for one of many door prizes donated by the volunteers of HBC. Prizes include gift cards, pies, hats, and several hunting associated items. Our grand prize given out at the conclusion of the evening is a CVA Scoped Rifle.
